Product description

Ultra-trace Analytics offers semiconductor-grade ICP-MS analytical services across high-purity chemicals, UPW, electronic-grade solvents, cleaning solutions, etch chemistries, and plating baths. Supports ppt – ppq class trace metal analysis, method development, and inter-lab transfer.

ICP-MS testing for semiconductor and chemical-industry liquids

Ultra-trace Analytics offers ICP-MS / ICP-MS/MS outsourced testing for trace metals and elemental impurities in semiconductor process chemicals, high-purity chemicals, UPW, acids and bases, solvents, cleaning solutions, etchants, plating baths, and other chemical-industry liquids. Depending on sample type, matrix complexity, target elements, sample preparation, blank control, and instrument conditions, the service can be assessed at ppq through ppt levels.

主要特色

Evaluating ppq through ppt-level analytical capability

We evaluate achievable ppq–ppt trace-element capability against sample type, target elements, blank background, and sample-preparation conditions. The actual capability is confirmed against sample conditions and test results.

Suited to semiconductor liquid samples

Applicable to semiconductor process chemicals, high-purity acids and bases, UPW, cleaning solutions, etchants, plating baths, solvents, and other high-cleanliness liquid samples.

Supports common chemical-industry liquids

We assess feasibility of elemental-impurity analysis for chemicals, solvents, additives, process liquids, cleaning solutions, and customer-specified liquid samples.

Strong focus on blank and background contamination control

For ultra-trace analysis we pay close attention to background contributions from sample containers, diluents, sample-prep consumables, the working environment, and operating procedures.

Analytical strategy chosen per element and matrix

Based on target elements and matrix characteristics, we evaluate suitable dilution, sample preparation, calibration, internal standards, interference correction, and ICP-MS / ICP-MS/MS conditions.

Clear, well-structured analytical reports

On request the report can include element results, units, sample information, a test-conditions summary, and any necessary notes. The exact report format is confirmed against the scope.

Before submitting samples, please share the following

Not sure if your sample can reach ppq or ppt level? Share the matrix, SDS, and target elements and we will help assess feasibility.

  • Sample name and intended use
  • SDS or main composition
  • Sample matrix: acid, base, solvent, water sample, cleaning solution, plating bath, etchant, or other liquid
  • Target element list
  • Target concentration range or spec requirement
  • Preferred result units: ppt, ppb, ng/L, ng/g, or other
  • Sample quantity and number of bottles available
  • Whether the sample is corrosive, volatile, flammable, or has other safety risks
  • Whether special containers or blanks are needed
  • Whether QC data, spike recovery, replicate tests, or a customer-specified report format are needed
  • Whether comparison against an existing COA or customer specification is needed

  • Confirm report format and pass/fail criteria

FAQ

What samples can the ICP-MS testing service handle?

The service mainly covers liquids common in the semiconductor and chemical industries — high-purity chemicals, UPW, acids and bases, solvents, cleaning solutions, etchants, plating baths, and other process liquids. Actual feasibility depends on SDS, matrix composition, and safety.

Can ICP-MS analysis reach ppq level?

Depending on sample type, matrix, target elements, sample preparation, blank control, and instrument conditions, some samples can be evaluated at ppq–ppt level. The actual achievable level is confirmed against sample conditions and test results; ppq is not guaranteed for every sample or element.

What do ppq, ppt, and ppb mean?

ppb, ppt, and ppq are concentration tiers — parts per billion, per trillion, and per quadrillion respectively. The lower the concentration, the more demanding the requirements on blanks, container cleanliness, sample preparation, and instrument conditions.

Why do semiconductor chemicals need ICP-MS testing?

Semiconductor processes are highly sensitive to metal contamination. Trace metals in high-purity chemicals, UPW, acids and bases, and solvents can affect process stability, defect control, and material quality. ICP-MS is used to track trace metals and ultra-trace contamination.

What information should we share before submitting samples?

Please share sample name, SDS, main composition, target elements, target specifications, sample quantity, preferred reporting units, and safety information. If the sample is corrosive, volatile, flammable, or otherwise hazardous, flag this in advance.

Can chemical-industry liquid samples be analyzed?

Yes — feasibility is evaluated against sample properties. Common requests include elemental impurity analysis in raw-material liquids, process liquids, cleaning solutions, additives, solvents, and other chemical-industry liquids. Feasibility is confirmed against matrix and target elements.

Will the report include LOD, LOQ, or QC data?

LOD, LOQ, blank, repeatability, spike recovery, QC check, and similar items can be discussed and included based on the scope. The exact report content and QC items are confirmed before the work starts.

How does ICP-MS testing differ from ICP-MS method development?

The testing service delivers analytical results and reports for samples you submit. Method development and transfer helps you build an analytical method, SOP, and QC workflow that can be executed in your own lab. The two can be scoped separately or together.

Need ppq / ppt-level ICP-MS testing?

Share your sample matrix, SDS, target elements, target specifications, sample quantity, and report requirements. Ultra-trace Analytics can evaluate ICP-MS / ICP-MS/MS testing feasibility and propose an analysis plan and quotation.
